Current Opportunity: 

• We are looking for full-time and part-time barbers.
• Full-time:  3 weekdays (7-5:30pm) and Saturdays (7-2pm).
• Part-time:  Saturday only (7-2pm) and Saturday (7-2pm) plus fill-in during the week (9-5:30pm).  

Vestavia Barber Shop has been serving Vestavia and broader Birmingham for over 65 years and is a traditional family friendly shop striving to provide quality haircuts for the entire family.  www.vestaviabarbershop.com.  

We are looking for skilled barbers to join us.  We historically have had low turn-over, and vacancies are rare. 

Competitive commission compensation and tips are all yours.

1 year of experience outside of barber school is required.  3 years’ experience preferred.

Must have, or be able to obtain a Jefferson County barber license (may also consider State of Alabama cosmetology license with barbering experience)

Expertise in tapers or fade clipper cuts.

Expertise in long and short layer cuts.

Comfortable with old fashioned and military style cuts.

Comfortable with beard trims.

Professional and Friendly personality.

Able to work as a team in a close environment and work long hours on your feet (up to 10-hour days)

Must be able to work Saturdays 7-2pm.

For weekday shifts (Tuesdays – Fridays), able to work a shift of 7-5:30pm.

Pluses, but not required:

• Face and head shaves;
• Women and girl’s haircuts; and
• Flat tops.
